That’s not the full picture though, I’ll be on the forum mentioned above in half an hour. I love this kind of analysis though and I’ll take it on board over the next few weeks when watching games and eventually notice it myself. I was sitting here thinking ‘Jesus! These people know a lot about football’. That tonight was really good and exactly what I mean by the next level. I’ve even thought Neil’s been wrong a few times recently and I wouldn’t have dared question a man of his knowledge previously. I think I’m ready to take things to the next level now. That might be a bit too modest but it’s how it is and it’s 100% down to listening to the podcasts. The odd thing is, I don’t feel they’re on the same level as me now and that I’m wasting my time engaging them. Recently, I considered leaving our forum with my mates because they’re so clueless and always negative that it makes me wanna make snide comments. I see the game differently now and in a much deeper context. Since listening to TAW I’m amazed how much I’ve taken in and kind of understood enough to apply it myself. All I knew about it was who had played well for Liverpool and who hadn’t but I couldn’t back it up with any talk on formations and tactics. I would have never considered getting into an argument with my mates over football because I’d have lost. Going back say, 3 or 4 years I would happily admit my knowledge of football was minimal. This is exactly the kind of thing I want.
